After the installation of the program, start it up, the first tab page "Backup" is shown.

- In the upper tree expand the tree so your harddisk and directories will become visible.
Then select one or more directories to backup, by checking the checkbox
The selection will become visible in the middle part of the screen, named 'Selected' (No editing here)
- Now we're gonna select the destination backup path, press button 'Change settings'

In the upper part "Backup to", select a hard-disk,here H:\ usb drive or network path.
In the lower part, normally option 2 or 3 should be selected (with option 1, no automatic
restore and no synchronize is possible). So when to choose for option 2 or 3 ?
If the destination is an internal hard-disk or an external hard-disk, that will be used
only connected to this computer then choose; option 2 else 3 (used on more then 1 computer)
Leave the lower setting 'use compression' unchecked for now.
The destination path is now determined, press 'OK' to close the screen.
- Now you can start the backup manually, by pressing the button "Starting a direct backup".
If needed a second press will stop the backup action. The bottom status line will tell
you the status of the backup action, when finished it says checked xxx, copied xxx.
